HOW WE WORK WITH U.S. FOOD COMPANIES

AFQIS LLC offers two engagement models depending on your company's needs and stage of market entry.

You focus on production. We focus on sales in West Africa.

This is our core service. AFQIS LLC acts as your exclusive or non-exclusive sales agent for the Francophone West Africa market. We represent your products, find buyers, facilitate transactions, and manage the ongoing relationship — all on a commission basis tied to completed sales.

What this includes:

  • Active outreach to qualified importers, wholesalers, and distributors in Senegal and the WAEMU region

  • Product positioning and pitch — we present your products in the language and format West African buyers respond to

  • Buyer due diligence — we only introduce you to vetted, creditworthy importers

  • Negotiation support — we facilitate price, payment terms, and contract discussions

  • First purchase order facilitation — we stay involved until the deal is closed and payment confirmed

  • Relationship management — we maintain contact with your buyers and keep your pipeline active

  • Quarterly market feedback — pricing trends, buyer sentiment, competitor activity

Commission structure:

Standard commission: 3%–5% of the FOB value of confirmed purchase orders, paid by the U.S. exporter upon receipt of payment. Exact rate negotiated based on product category and order volume.

Ideal for:

U.S. food manufacturers and commodity exporters (rice, oils, sugar, flour, tomato paste, canned goods) who want to enter or grow their presence in Francophone West Africa without the cost and complexity of opening a local office.

TRADE FACILITATION & BROKERAGE

You have a product. We have a buyer. Let's make the deal happen.

In some cases, AFQIS LLC operates as a broker between a U.S. supplier and a West African importer — where we have an existing buyer relationship and are actively sourcing the right U.S. product to fulfill their order.

What this looks like:

  • A West African importer approaches us with a specific product requirement and volume

  • We source the right U.S. supplier, negotiate pricing, and structure the transaction

  • We coordinate documentation, payment terms (typically LC or T/T), and logistics handoff

  • We earn a margin or broker fee from one or both sides of the transaction

Ideal for:

U.S. suppliers open to receiving qualified purchase orders from Africa without needing to manage the buyer relationship themselves. Also suitable for West African importers who need a trusted U.S.-based partner to source, verify, and ship food products on their behalf.
